While that may not be what you want to hear, that is how your body works. If you reduce your caloric intake gradually over a long period of time, your body will comfortably adjust to your new eating habits. This means that you should not be skipping breakfast and lunch every day. Instead cut out a small portion of your meal. Perhaps you can do with just three pancakes in the morning rather than four. Remember that every calorie adds up over time and while one ham sandwich may not seem like a big deal, it becomes a big deal over a year. If a caloric source was causing you to intake 10 pounds, then removing it from your diet will eventually remove 10 pounds from you. The key is to cut something small or you and your body will not be happy.
While adjusting your diet is great for keeping your weight down, you still have to burn off excess fat. To do that you will need to exercise. You may absolutely dread having to go jogging every morning but a bit of exercise is going to do a lot to slim you down. There is no trick to making exercise fun and easy. The best you can do is to take it at your pace and comfortably work it into your lifestyle so that it can do its wonders. A light workout three times a week for an entire year is so much better than a crash workout every day in a week once a year. Go for a walk during lunch or take up biking for half an hour every other day. Increasing the rate with which you burn calories will gradually slim you down. You may not lose 50 pounds in a week but you will lose weight, stay healthy, and keep it off.
